I realized I was viewing Xmas as an event to endure ... a race to the finish so that I could take a breath. What to do?! So, I picked two things that were important to me - making cookies with my daughter and going to a craft show. We went to the show and it was a delightful experience. Simple, perfect gifts jumped out. I felt creative .. and was pleased to support local merchants. What fascinated me though was that the chores of the Holiday season didn't feel so overwhelming. They'll get done, but I'll create pleasurable moments for my family. P.S. Hope the cookies turn out, we haven't done that before.
