Let’s Prepare Our Hearts Together!

Posted by Maria - November 27th, 2008

Dear Readers:

Join me these Advent and Christmas seasons for daily conversations to prepare our hearts for Christmas.  Richard Bach said we teach that which we most need to learn, so part of the reason I wrote this book is because I need it, too!  I’ll be praying and reflecting with the book and posting my gratitude lists and new reflections on this blog.

Please join us and be assured that you don’t pray alone!

  1. It was the cancellation of Maria’s & Julie’s program that actually jogged my subconscious. I realized I was viewing Xmas as an event to endure … a race to the finish so that I could take a breath. What to do?! So, I picked two things that were important to me – making cookies with my daughter and going to a craft show. We went to the show and it was a delightful experience. Simple, perfect gifts jumped out. I felt creative .. and was pleased to support local merchants. What fascinated me though was that the chores of the Holiday season didn’t feel so overwhelming. They’ll get done, but I’ll create pleasurable moments for my family.
P.S. Hope the cookies turn out, we haven’t done that before.
